About the event
Ever fancied getting into birdwatching but not sure where to begin? This gentle walk is ideal for anyone wanting to learn the basics in a relaxed, friendly setting.
We’ll be taking a loop along the Oakham Canal, with an expert guide to help you get to grips with identifying birds.
Along the way, we’ll pass through a variety of habitats – from open water to hedgerows and scrub – giving us a good chance of spotting a mix of different species.
You'll learn how to identify birds by their calls, behaviour, and appearance, with plenty of tips and guidance along the way.
No experience needed – just bring your curiosity, a decent pair of shoes, and binoculars if you’ve got them (we’ll have a few spares too). As a thank you, you’ll also get one free entry per ticket to any of George’s online bird ID talks. To receive your discount…
